The Coconut Cream Goldens Story

In 2015 we welcomed twelve week old Coconut, a beautiful and incredibly intelligent English Cream Golden Retriever, into our home as our son Lucas’s new furry friend. Her entrance into our lives changed our whole family and our farm. From the very beginning Coconut would go out on our back porch in the morning, do her business, and return to the back porch or otherwise play right around there with our seven children and many farm animals. 

 

Coconut opened the door to a whole new world on our farm. She occupied such an integral part of our daily routine and exuded so much wonder in doing it that we wanted more of her. On a big and growing farm with seven children there were lots of demands for furry friends. Some friends of ours also owned and English Cream Golden Retriever named Bear. He was a monster. After much consideration we felt having puppies with these two would be an incredible experience for our children and hopefully share more of these incredibly sweet dogs with others. Thus began a small family endeavor.

 

In the nine years since Coconut’s first litter of puppies, we have made the health and well-being of our English Cream Golden Retriever moms the top priority by constantly educating ourselves on best breeding practices, health regimens, and quality of environment. 

 

Each English Cream Golden Retriever mom is bred only as her health allows. They will whelp only the standard best breeding practice litter amounts. And, finally, they are bred only to top sires who meet our same English Cream Golden Retriever rigorous health standards. 

 

Our English Cream Golden Retriever dams and sires undergo rigorous diagnostic and DNA testing prior to breeding. They are fed healthy diets throughout their lifespan with 24/7 access to water and healthy chew toys. We emphasize a healthy environment through consistent deworming and vaccination regimens. 

 

We believe there is more to a healthy environment for our pet family than just good food and medicine. We believe constant interaction with us, plenty of room for rest and play, and lots of dog to dog and toy interaction are essential. Our pets have 24/7 access to climate controlled places to rest as well as spacious outdoor play areas. This is where they get to dig, chase, and do their English Cream doggy things!
